Manila Tour Activity - Big Group Class

OBJECTIVE

To immerse the students in the culture of the Philippines by interacting with locals in the English language.

SKILL FOCUS

Cultural immersion and English language building through interaction with Filipinos.

GUIDELINES

1. Discuss the Manila Tour to the students and assign topics for presentation in pairs.
2. Complete the BGC Manila Tour Itinerary then submit the tear-off part to the BGC coordinator.
3. Departure from hostel is between 8:30 – 9:00 A.M. only.
4. After the activity, the students will do a Post Activity on March 23, 2015 and Oral Presentation on March 23 – 25, 2015 based on their experience during the Manila Tour.
5. Each pair must take five souvenir photos of their trip and send them to.
6. The whole class must take and send two or three group pictures to the above email address.

DURING THE ACTIVITY

1. The students must interview locals to gather information about the given topic.
2. The teacher can give guide questions or tasks to students to help them gather information for their Oral Presentation.
3. Take photos that can be used in the presentation.
